Saved games no longer sync with steam cloud. Anyone noticed this?

Half-Life 2. They backup HL2 and a whole bunch of other games, even if you didn't buy them on steam. Also you can share game saves if you lost your HL2 saves, and if you download someone's shared saves on the service, it will put the saves in the right spot for you.
